inspiration : daddy's day

Anyone that knows my Dad knows that we both love "tiki" stuff. It started out as a simple 25th birthday party for me (11 years ago), and then the tiki bar never left the garage. We've had tiki Christmases, more tiki birthdays & bbqs and we've even converted the tiki to have a few Cinco De Mayo parties. Since I painted a birdhouse for my Mom for Mother's Day, I thought I'd make one for my ol' Daddy-o too -- tiki style of course!

In the spirit of the tiki daddy's day theme, my Dad also loves coconut, so I baked some coconut cupcakes. Actually, he's a big fan of frou-frou cocktails, but I won't go there right now.

observation : birthday cupcakes

As in my first post, I truly think that creativity, isn't just about putting pen to paper, and with that I present the cupcakes I made for my husband Jeff's birthday party. Trust me they taste just as good as they look. We gave them the ol' taste test yesterday! YUM!
